As you probably know by now, gimbals are my favorite action camera accessories. GoPro also introduced their new Karma ecosystem, which features a gimbal that can be used in their drone as well as handheld. Zerotech Rollcap is combining an action camera and a gimbal – at an action camera size! Rollcap looks a bit similar to the Revl Arc camera which should be ready for shipment soon.
Zerotech Rollcap features a 13 MP sensor and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. In the press release 4K recording is stated, although I currently don’t know if it will be native 4K or interpolated. The camera is powered by a 945 mAh battery, which allows 110 min. recording in 4K resolution after full charge.
The camera offers a 94° FOV. The triaxial gimbal uses brushless motors and ensures the accuracy stability augmentation of ± 0.03°. Several shooting modes will be available such as: time-lapse, slow-motion, continuous shooting, HDR & timer shooting. The camera is not waterproof itself, but there will be an underwater case, which will feature a mount system compatible with GoPro mount. The camera’s body has a standard 1/4″ threaded tripod mount.
Currently there is not much more information available. Stay tuned for further updates!
