This post is a translation of the former Chinese version.
If you want to know about the features & functions of app and camera, go to this blog post: Xiaomi Yi Review & Manual
You can find the App in the iTunes App Store

- Power up your camera (wait 10 sec), press the WiFi Button and wait until it starts flashing.
- Then look up the cameras WiFi (YDXJ_******) and connect your iPhone.

Start the App
When you open the app you will see this screen.
Press the red button and the app will connect to your Xiaomi Yi.
If it doesn’t connect and there is an error message, you might have to update your firmware manually. Read here how it’s done.
The App
Unless you change it in the camera settings, the Xiaomi will start in photo mode:
On top of the app you can select: video mode – photo mode – settings.
You’ll see a live preview and the current settings.
Next to the trigger button you can go to your photo album and change the photo mode: normal – time-lapse – self timer – burst mode.
The video mode looks almost the same and is easy to figure out. The settings can be tricky, so here is screenshot as well as a translation (and options below):
