Nikon KeyMission 360
Nikon announced its entry into the action camera market with the development of a lineup of action cameras. One of them is the Nikon KeyMission 360, a wearable action camera capable of recording true 360° video in 4K UHD.
Sensor & Chip:
Nikon KeyMission 360 consists of 2 lenses, and therefore 2 sensors. Currently I’m not sure which sensors (MP & brand) will be used nor which chip will be used for image processing. 23.9 MP are states as Effective Pixels.
Lens:
Key mission features 2 NIKKOR lenses with 7 elements in 7 groups, fixed focus and aperture f/2.
Focal length is 1.6 mm (equivalent to 8.7 mm lens in 35mm format), focus distance about 30cm to infinity.
Video Resolution & Frame Rate:
According to Nikon the following settings are available. You can switch between NTSC and PAL recording:
- 2160/24p
- 1920/24p
- 960/30p
- 640/120p
- 320/240p
Video Format:
Videos are recorded in .mov format with .h264 codec.
Display:
There is no display on the Nikon KeyMission to check the settings, you have to do it via phone.
Battery:
Rechargeable Li-ion Battery type EN-EL12 are used, they have 1050 mAh capacity.
Storage:
microSd cards are used for storage.

Special Features:

- Camera is 30m waterproof without case
- 2m shockproof without case
- is resistant to dust and low temperatures
- and there’s also an electronic Vibration Reduction that helps to reduce camera shake.
There are two different lens protectors which are included, one for land use and the other for underwater. No addition housing required.
