Lesports Liveman C1 seems to be the lowest priced real 4K camera including a touch screen at the moment. Real 4K cameras are currently available for 110 USD – like Andoer C5 or Thieye T5 – but they lack a touch screen. Action Cameras including this feature are SJCAM SJ7 Star and YI 4K Action Camera having a price tag of 199 USD.
Lesports Liveman C1 Specs
Liveman C1 offers a 12 MP Sony IMX 078 sensor.
C1 offers a 140° wide angle lens, f2.7 aperture.
Video and Frame Rate
- 4K – 3840 x 2160 – 30 / 25 fps
- 1440p – 1920 x 1440 – 60 / 50 / 30 / 25 fps
- 1080p – 1920 x 1080 – 100 / 60 / 50 / 30 / 25 fps
- 720p – 1280 x 720 – 200 / 120 / 100 / 60 / 50 fps
- 960p – 1280 x 960 – 60 / 50 fps
4K resolution is native (real) and not interpolated. Currently I’m wondering why the max. frame rate in 1080p is just 100 and not 120fps which would be 4 times the standard NTSC frame rate. Btw. you can choose NTSC / PAL in the settings menu labelled “output format”.
.mp4 – not sure if h.264 or .h265 codec at the moment
16MP (4608 x 3456) / 12MP (4000 x 3000) / 8MP (3200×2400)
I think the sensor is 12MP therefore 12MP would be full sensor space and 16 MP upscaled. Photo format is .jpg; RAW is not available.
Lesports Liveman C1 features a 1.8″ Touchscreen, compared to YI 4K (2.19″) and GoPro Hero5 (2″) it is a bit smaller.
Battery capacity is 1050 mAh, that’s also a bit less compared to YI 4K (1400 mAh) and GoPro Hero5 (1220 mAh), but more than the 1000 mAh battery of SJ7 Star. Working time for C1 is stated with 1.5 hrs.
microSD card support for cards up to 64GB; Class 10 is recommended.
Connectivity & Ports:
Wifi & Bluetooth:
Liveman C1 has Bluetooth and WiFi, and a very nice feature: Live Broadcast with 720p at 30fps.
C1 is equipped with micro HDMI and micro USB.
Dimension & Weight
Size: 52 x 40 26 mm / 2.0 x 1.6 x 1 inch
Weight: 69.5 g / 2.4 oz (with Battery)
Accessories included in the Lesports C1 box are an underwater case, that is 40m waterproof, protect frame, adapters, plug-in support, adhesive mounts (curved) and manual.
Features include electronic image stabilization as well as:
PIV: Manual / 5s / 60s
Time-lapse: 5s / 10s / 20s
FOV selection: Narrow / Small / Wide/ Medium
Quick Shot: 3 / 6 / 8 shot per second
Auto Burst: 1s / 2s / 3s/ 5s/ 10s / 20s
C1 automatically save a loop recording file and protects it, in case of a car accident. Currently I’m not sure what it does exactly, I’ll go into detail after I received the camera.
Body, Buttons & Ports
Lesports Liveman C1 looks quite unique compared to others because of its flat lens design. Therefore it should be better impact-resistant! There’s no lens standing out of the body design as in almost all other action cameras. So if it falls, it’s more difficult to damage the lens.
The red button on the front side of the camera is the power button. Furthermore it is needed for live broadcasting, more on that later. On top you’ll find the shutter and on one side 2 small buttons. One is the wifi-button for switching it on and off. The other one with the lock item shuts off the LCD screen and locks the other settings, as all of them are done via the touch screen.
Behind the door on the other side of C1 you’ll find microHDMI & micro USB port as well as micro SD card slot. Above there are openings for the speaker. Battery door is on the bottom. Both doors are attached to the camera so you con’t loose them and open very conveniently.
How to connect wifi?
Once you have downloaded the app (available for iOS and Android) you can connect with C1. First connect your phone with the camera’s wifi. The name is “LIVEMAN…..” the password “lesports”.
