Kodak just launched their new 4k Action Cam which is aimed for 360° video recording – the Kodak SP360 4K. Actually you’ll need two of them to do real VR 360° videos, they are sold in a package of one or two cameras. They can be easily mounted together in a special rig, whereas the solution of the Nikon KeyMission 360 looks a bit more convenient where you just have one camera with 2 lenses – But let’s take a look at the specs:
Kodak SP360 4K Specs

The Kodak SP360 4K features a 12.76 MP 1/2.33″ CMOS image sensor

Conclusion
The 360° trend seems to be unstoppable. You can see more and more videos popping up on YouTube and Facebook since the option was integrated. This is not a new 360° camera from Kodak, a 1080p version was available, but the new 4K version. As you need 2 of them for a real 360° experience it is pricy, but still cheaper than taking 2 or even 6 GoPros.
With the Nikon KeyMission you only got one device, which seems handy, but for their camera the price wasn’t announced yet. We will see who will win the 360° camera race, there are rumors about a 360° GoPro as well – Stay tuned!
